What usually works for me:
- Consumer Services or Fintech (Payments, Investments, Insurance, Lending or Products riding on top of Banks)
- Early stage : Pre-Seed or Seed w/t a working product built by a team size < 10
- Just capital (someone I know is leading or you already have a lead investor)
- Dumb money (you have figured it all and raising investment) or engaged (Spend time with you on product & growth, help you find a lead investor or lead the investment)
- Usually invest in domains I understand and know the space but there are exceptions.
- I never take any advisory equity, position or any such role wt the startup.
- All help is free, irrespective if I invest or not.
